Small Business Breakthroughs Magazine

Dan Cholewa is a business coach and consultant who helps entrepreneurs, small business owners, and sales-driven teams build stronger companies without losing their minds in the process.

With nearly 20 years of experience as a real estate agent, team leader, director of operations, brokerage owner, and business coach, Dan brings a rare mix of frontline sales experience, operational discipline, and leadership coaching. He has built, led, and advised businesses through the messy parts of growth: hiring, scaling, accountability, team performance, client experience, systems, and profitability.

Today, Dan works with business owners across the U.S., Canada, and internationally, helping them turn scattered effort into clear execution. His coaching focuses on practical strategy, better decision-making, stronger sales systems, cleaner operations, and leadership that actually holds up under pressure.

His approach is direct, strategic, and implementation-focused. No motivational fluff. No 47-step frameworks designed to look impressive in a PDF. Just clear thinking, better systems, stronger leadership, and the accountability required to turn plans into results.

Dan’s goal is simple: help business owners create more revenue, more control, and more freedom by building companies that are easier to run, easier to scale, and harder to break.

I didn’t start as a business coach because I read a few books, made a fancy framework, and decided the world needed another person with a microphone talking about “scaling.”

I started by actually building, running, and leading businesses.

My career began in real estate in 2008, where I learned sales the hard way: prospecting, client service, negotiations, market cycles, rejection, inconsistency, and the occasional spreadsheet that makes you question your life choices. From there, I moved into leadership and operations, serving as Director of Operations for a Keller Williams franchise from 2016 to 2019, before becoming a brokerage owner from 2019 to 2024.

That experience shaped how I coach today.

I’ve sat in the owner’s chair. I know what it feels like to carry payroll, manage people, chase growth, build systems, handle difficult conversations, and still try to have a life outside the business. Theory is useful. But theory without execution is just a nice PDF nobody reads.

Today, I coach and consult with entrepreneurs, small business owners, sales teams, and real estate professionals across the U.S., Canada, and internationally. I work with clients through my own company, Dan Cholewa Coaching & Consulting, and as a business coach with Tom Ferry Coaching.

My work focuses on helping business owners create stronger sales systems, better leadership rhythms, cleaner operations, more effective hiring, and accountability that actually sticks. The goal is not just growth. The goal is controlled growth. The kind where revenue increases, the team gets stronger, the owner gets clearer, and the business stops running entirely on adrenaline and caffeine.

I’m fluent in English, French, and Hebrew, and I’ve worked with clients across multiple markets and cultures. That matters because business problems are rarely just tactical. They are human. They involve people, pressure, priorities, habits, communication, and leadership. The spreadsheet matters, but so does the person staring at it pretending everything is fine.

My coaching style is direct, practical, and implementation-focused. I believe most business owners don’t need more ideas. They need clearer decisions, better systems, stronger accountability, and someone willing to tell them the truth before the market does.

I live and work between Montreal, Quebec and Naples, Florida, with my wife and our twins. That keeps me grounded, busy, and permanently aware that “free time” is a fictional concept invented by people without small children.
